The newly dubbed Disney+ streaming service expands its Star Wars content by one more television show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Diego Luna will reprise his Rogue One: A Star Wars Story role as Cassian Andor in a new streaming television program. The series will follow the spy’s adventures in the early days of the Rebellion against the Empire.
“Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me,” said Luna in a statement. “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”
The as-yet-unnamed series joins Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian as part of the service’s brand new content, which will also feature Marvel Studios limited series and other Disney material. The program will presumably debut after Favreau’s series.
