Swag! The DesignerCon 2018 Edition

by Gary Catig

There were so many stylish and interesting items at this year’s DesignerCon, but since the holidays are approaching and I need money to buy presents, I had to practice some self-control. It was especially difficult because of all the limited-edition toys being sold. In spite of that, I was still able to come out with a respectable haul.

I picked up some artbooks from pop surrealist painter, Camilla d’Errico, and Headlopper Volume 2 from Comicon.com favorite, Andrew MacLean. I also enjoyed the T-shirt with DJ Soundwave rocking on the ones and twos.

Grabbed a few stickers. My personal favorite, because of my Filipino roots, is the cute Jollibee.

Even had some comics signed by Francesco Francavilla and Patrick Ballesteros.

Finally, the show was a true showcase of art so even their programs and badges looked cool. The Disney characters were a nice touch since “The Happiest Place on Earth” was only a few blocks away from the convention center.
