The Last Campfire Guarantees A Warm, Meaningful Tale

by Christine Marie Attardo

I’m always looking for the next big, colorful-puzzling game to play. In light of the success of No Man’s Sky, I was drawn to their upcoming new title, The Last Campfire. The game is described as a story of a lost ember in search of meaning and a way home. Pretty heartfelt, huh?

Take a look at the trailer:

The Verge quoted Hello Games saying:

We call it a Hello Games Short…Like Pixar shorts, it’s a way to foster creativity and new voices in the studio.

I’ll take it. Sometimes you look for a game that isn’t going to suck up your entire life until you beat it. I love the art style and the warm feel that The Last Campfire appears to guarantee. There is no release date or platform announcement yet, but my fingers are crossed for the Nintendo Switch.
