Sabrina’s (Kiernan Shipka) fight with the Devil is far from over.
Netflix has announced a second order of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, its original series based on the comic book of the same name and Archie Comics’ Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The additional 16 episodes will be split into two parts, just as the initial 20-episode order was split in half; leading to a certain confusion as the term “season” was used to described what is now being called “parts.” Parts 3 and 4 will be produced in 2019.
In a statement, creator and executive producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said “Praise Satan! I’m so grateful to my partners at Warner Brothers, Netflix, Berlanti Television, and Archie Productions for supporting this darker vision of the world’s most famous teen witch. And I’m thrilled to be continuing to tell Sabrina’s chilling adventures with our incredible cast and crew, led by the unstoppable Kiernan Shipka.”
In addition to Shipka, the series features Miranda Otto and Lucy Davis as Sabrina’s aunts Zelda and Hilda, Chance Perdomo as her cousin Ambrose, Jaz Sinclair as her best friend Ros, Ross Lynch as her ex-boyfriend Harvey Kinkle and Michelle Gomez as Madam Satan.
The series recently returned to Netflix with a holiday special, A Midwinter’s Tale, with Part 2 scheduled for release on April 5th.
