The Promised Neverland Could Be The Next Big Anime

by Tito W. James

The Promised Neverland follows a group of super-intelligent children who are trying to escape from a sinister orphanage. From what I’ve read of the manga, The Promised Neverland has the makings of a popular anime like Attack on Titan or Naruto. It has likable characters, a creative premise, dark twists and many, many manga volumes.

However, I’ve learned to be a bit skeptical when it comes to “hype-train” anime. I didn’t get very far in the manga because, much like in Attack on Titan, there were more plot twists than there was plot progression. Even so, if you like anime for the long, wild ride rather than the short burst, The Promised Neverland is a “hype train” to get on. All aboard!
