Sony Interactive and Bend Studios continue their World of Days Gone series with the newest video, “Riding the Broken Road”. This video goes into detail about your primary mode of transportation, Deacon’s Drifter Bike. In Days Gone, you’ll be able to do repairs on the field, or find other bikes and pull parts off of them directly to replace the parts on yours. With an emphasis on survival, the video highlights how important the search for gas to continue running your vehicle is, as well as improving it’s engine and nitrous to catch bounties. The bike will also allow players to carry additional ammo, and is the respawn point for if Deacon ever…well…doesn’t make it.
As players explore the world, they’ll be able to reduce the zombie swarms and in doing so, open up crucial fast travel points for exploring the world. There’s also NERO check points. NERO is the medical organization that tried to investigate the disease before it mysteriously vanished, and their check points once explored provide valuable medical resources, and interesting “power ups” that lean in the direction of science fiction.
Players can figure out their own ways to survive the world of Days Gone when it releases exclusively on PlayStation 4, on April 26th.
