With only two weeks remaining until the release of their latest entry into the Metro universe, 4A Games has unveiled another story based trailer for Metro: Exodus. One of the lengthiest trailers yet, it establishes both the feeling of the world as well as displaying what the gameplay proper looks like. Players will play as Artyom, leading a group of rangers across the continent of Russia, and takes place over the course of a full year, where the world’s atmosphere alters through the seasons.
We also get a look at the game’s day/night cycle, and fully customizable weapons. The trailer also promises a lack of “fetch quests” and “busy work”, presumably to allay the fears of gamers tired of traditional open world gameplay, instead claiming each location has its own story which folds into the main narrative of the game. Lastly, the trailer provides a look at the Aurora, the train Artyom and his supporting cast traverse the land of Russia in, which serves as the players’ main base.
Metro: Exodus will be available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 15th.
