Jennifer (China Anne McClain) is dedicated to her mission of revenge. And as she begins training to become a costumed hero like her father and sister, one key thing becomes clear: she has the potential to go nuclear. Will it turn out to be the power necessary to end Tobias (Marvin “Krondon” Jones III) or will it lead to another tragedy?
Meanwhile, the Pierce family’s determination to get Tobias has made them blind to other threats like the ASA and the Markovians. Presented as an antagonistic foreign power on this series, Markovia appears to see metahumans as an alternative to nuclear arms. Their attempt to kidnap Lynn (Christine Adams) suggests their meta-cultivation program is need of a top mind in the subject.
With the program’s recent renewal, it is possible Markovia will prove to be the main antagonist of Season 3. Unless, of course, Tobias somehow saves himself or allies with their agents for a common goal.
Black Lighting airs Mondays on The CW.
