Good Omens Set For May 31st Release On Amazon; Benedict Cumberatch To Play Satan

After what seems like an eternity, Good Omens will finally make its way to Amazon in May.

Deadline reports all six episodes of the series will be available on May 31st. As executive producer and Good Omens co-author Neil Gaiman put it, “Plan for your binge parties.”

The series stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen as an demon and angel dedicated to preventing the End of All Things. While the rest of creation draws battle lines, the two have come to enjoy their Earthly existences and would very much like to see it continue, thank you. Meanwhile, the Antichrist has gone missing. The show is based on the novel by the late Terry Pratchett and Gaiman. According to Gaiman, Pratchett always wanted to see the novel jump mediums and at least some of the events in the series will be based on ideas the two discussed for a never realized sequel.

Besides Tennant and Sheen, the series will also star Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson, Adria Arjona, Michael McKean, Anna Maxwell Martin and Mireille Enos. It will also feature the voices of Frances McDormand as God and Benedict Cumberbatch as Satan.

Good Omens debuts on May 31st.
