Like many other fighters during the EVO Japan tournament this weekend, Bandai-Namco came with a set of announcements for their premiere fighting game, Tekken 7. First is returning character Julia Chang, rocking a brand-new outfit and what seems to be a streamer gimmick. Second though, is the unexpected crossover character Negan from The Walking Dead, using his signature baseball bat to mete out punishment to all the different players surrounding the King of the Iron Fist tournament. One of the character’s key scenes has even been directly translated into the game as a rather grim shoutout.
Lastly, the trailer also sneaks in a 3D render of Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada coming face to face with the terror of the Walking Dead world, having him promise to put the character in earlier next time.
Both characters will be available at the end of the month, with Julia costing $4.99, while Negan will cost $7.99, presumably due to the TWD-inspired stage much of the character’s fights were in. This rounds out the second season of DLC, which also included Julia, Lei, Marduk, and Armor King.
