The highly anticipated reboot of Fruits Basket will be premiering in April 2019. A new trailer has been released, which sheds some more light on what to expect from the new adaptation.
Up until now, fans have had little idea of what the new series will sound like, because the first trailer only featured Tohru’s voice actor, Manaka Iwami. The new trailer includes dialog from both Yuki (Nobunaga Shimazaki), Shigure (Yuichi Nakamura) and Kyo (Yuma Uchida), which gives fans some more insight into what’s coming next.
Though the characters sound different from the way they did in the 2001 anime, and the animation and art are much slicker, the overall tone remains the same. The new trailer is reminiscent of the gentle sweetness and light-hearted action that made the beginning of Fruits Basket so special.
