Square Enix Brings Us A Launch Trailer For Left Alive

by Sage Ashford

Square Enix has released their launch trailer for Left Alive, their new action game set in the Front Mission universe. Focusing on the individual stories of the three main characters, we get a mix of footage from the “Through the Warzone” trailer combined with all-new footage unveiling more from these characters trapped in a country that’s in the midst of a raging war.

Brought to us courtesy of director Toshifumi Nabeshima (Armored Core) and producer Shinji Hashimoto (Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts), Left Alive combines third person shooter gameplay with stealth mechanics and the giant robots (known as Wanzers) from the Front Mission universe. The result is a vastly different game than the strategy RPG series players have grown accustomed to when it comes to Front Mission, but one that looks ambitious in terms of its aim to attempt something different in a world where most games are attempting the same handful of genres (open world, Souls-like, battle royale, Loot Shooters).

Left Alive launches on PC and PS4 on March 5th.
