Tensions Rise In A Preview Of Next Week’s Supergirl

by Erik Amaya

With the US government, the Elite and the Sons of Liberty all drawing battle lines, it is only a matter of time before tensions hit a breaking point. And if this preview of next week’s Supergirl is to be believed, those tensions could spill over during a seemingly peaceful protest. But who’s the real agitator? Manchester Black (David Ajala) or Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer)?

It does seem like the anti-alien storyline is building to a head with the Elite boldly declaring their existence and the President (Bruce Boxleitner) doing end-runs around the DEO. While he has always been anti-alien, he seems to have other plans. Is it possible he is allied with the forces training Red Daughter?

Hopefully, this storyline ends soon so we can get to Red Daughter and Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) without too much of the Elite or Lockwood still handing around.

Supergirl airs Sundays on The CW.
