Aziraphale And Crowley Toast To The World In Good Omens Trailer

The debut of Amazon’s Good Omens adaptation is still a few months off, but the service has released a proper trailer for the series based on the novel by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. In it, angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant) discuss their differences and their options as the Antichrist comes into his power. It is a sign that the end is near. But as both the angel and demon have enjoyed their quaint and decidedly British lives of late, they aim to delay the Apocalypse. Can they do it? Or will the Divine Plan factor in their apparent disobedience?

The trailer also offers up some of the show’s tone, which seems more whimsical than the book in some places, but also a little more self-serious. Of course, the tone of the book would be quite devilish to replicate in film or television. Hopefully, it will be exactly what Gaiman — who is the program’s executive producer and showrunner — promised Pratchett he would do with it.

Good Omens arrives May 31st on Amazon.
