It’s Only Teenage Wasteland In Stranger Things 3 Trailer

The Who’s “Baba O’Riley” is a fairly popular song in film and television trailers. In fact, it was so ubiquitous at one point, Deadpool could’ve made a strong joke about the use of its synthesizer opening or the song’s climax. But in Netflix’s new trailer for the upcoming third season of Stranger Things it meshes fairly well as it Mike (Finn Wolfhard) announces the gang is no longer a bunch of kids. Hormones, jealousy and the mall invade their lives — seemingly with the frequency of the monsters lurking around Hawkins, Indiana. It might be a teenage wasteland, but the group always seem to persevere in hard conditions.

And even if adolescence breaks them, at least the bond between Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Steve (Joe Keery) is still strong. The slight remix of the song and the imagery definitely makes for a strong trailer. Hopefully, it will translate into a strong continuation of Stranger Things when it returns on July 4th.
