The Legends Of Tomorrow Head For 1973 In A Preview Of Next Week’s Show

The Legends of Tomorrow are back! But their relationship with the Time Bureau is crumbling once again. And as seen in this preview of next week’s show, Hank (Tom Wilson) has had enough of their shenanigans and tomfoolery. Since we know the Legends kidnap Richard Nixon, it may have something to do with that. Then again, it may have something to do with Mona (Ramon Young), who has become a magical creature in her own right. Will she successfully hide herself in 1973 or will Sara’s (Caity Lotz) prediction prove correct?

Meanwhile, we’re definitely glad to have the show back. The Mona storyline may not be our favorite — even if its doing a fine job parodying YA novels — but it is nice to see it reach in Mick’s (Dominic Purcell) direction as she is an avid reader of his work. More interesting, though, is Nate (Nick Zano) beginning to doubt Hank. The defeat on his face upon realizing he will lose his father again was heartbreaking. In fact, it is curious the episode featured so many sad elements for Mona, Sara, Ava (Jes Macallan) and Nate — in a show about lucador wrestling no less! But emotional stakes are vital to keeping the show varied and alive, even if we love it more for the silliness.

Legends of Tomorrow airs Mondays on The CW.
