After years of teasing (and a curious partial introduction at last year’s E3), EA has finally debuted the first trailer for Respawn’s third person action-adventure game, Jedi: Fallen Order, for this year’s annual Star Wars Celebration. Though there’s no gameplay, the trailer establishes the identity of the lead character: Cal Kestis, a young Padawan trying to stay alive after the establishment of Order 66. The website for Fallen Order explains that gameplay will center around lightsaber combat and Force usage, with parrying and dodging being a major part of a player’s battle against the game’s lead villain, Second Sister, and her army of Purge Troopers.
An untrained Jedi, Cal Kestis will have to finish his training on the run from the Empire, traveling to a number of new locations in the Star Wars universe to avoid being captured and killed by the Empire. Along the way, he’ll meet a number of allies both new and familiar, and he’ll also get a companion droid BD-1, who’ll accompany him on his journey.
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order releases on November 15th, and will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
