Xbox Announces Free Games For Xbox Gold Owners: NHL 19, Portal, More

by Sage Ashford

A new month brings a new set of games for owners of Xbox’s premium service, Xbox Live Gold.  For the entire month of June, they’re offering EA’s NHL 19, allowing hockey fans to get their fix in by competing against 200 of the best hockey players in the world.

For the first half of the month, players will also be allowed to enjoy Portal: Still Alive, solving puzzles and exploring the strange lab they’ve been trapped in.

Then for the second half of the month, players will be given Earth Defense Force 2017, and challenged to defeat giant waves of alien armadas using a number of weapons and vehicles on hand for the task.

Lastly, from the second half of June to the first half of July, players will get to experience Rivals of Aether, a platform fighter where gamers wield the elements of Earth, Fire, Air, and Water in either Story mode, a co-operative Abyss mode, or competitive online.
