A Classic Anime From The 60’s Gets A Snazzy Remake In ‘BEM’

A trailer has released for upcoming action series BEM, a remake of the 60’s series Humanoid Monster Bem. The anime follows three monsters fighting against other monsters and demons who threaten human beings in a major metropolitan city, hoping their good deeds will eventually allow them to become human.

It will be directed by Yoshinori Odaka (I”s Pure), while Atsuhiro Tomioka (Mix, Samurai 7) will handle series composition, and character design will be done by Masakazu Sunagawa (FMA: Brotherhood). The animation duties will be handled by LandQ Productions, also known for Azure Striker Gunvolt’s ONA.  The series’ opening is “Memories of Space” by Maaya Sakamoto, while the Ending is “Iruimi” by JUNNA. Maaya Sakamoto will also lend her voice talents to the series as Mysterious Lady.

BEM will air it’s first episode in the summer season on July 7th.
