Jumanji has its own place in pop culture. Beginning with the beloved children’s book to inspiring both an animated show and several films. The next medium the franchise hopes to conquer is video games. Set to be released on November 15, 2019, Jumanji: The Video Game comes from Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, publisher, Outright Games, and development studio, Funsolve.

Take control of the four leads from Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. You and up to three friends can choose a hero from Dr. Smolder Bravestone, Ruby Roundhouse, Franklin “Mouse” Finbar or Professor Shelly Oberon. Work together to find the Jewels of Jumanji and return home while confronting exotic creatures, dangerous locations and evil marauders. The game features online or split screen play with a focus on teamwork in order to survive.

Funsolve founder and director, Richard Tawn, says:

This is a dream come true for our studio. Adapting the exotic, dangerous and hilarious world of Jumanji into a video game has pushed us to create something truly special. We’ve got some incredibly exciting features and reveals coming soon, but for now let’s just say the game is coming this November, and puts you in the shoes of iconic Jumanji heroes.

Jumanji: The Video Game will run on Unreal Engine 4. It comes out November 15, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC Digital. That’s almost a month before the next movie.
