A First Look At Z/X: Code Reunion

by Sage Ashford

The first promotional video for the upcoming anime Z/X: Code Reunion has been released.  Based on a manga series, Code Reunion will be animated by studio Passione, perhaps best known for their work on Rail Wars and Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers.   The director of the series will be Yoshifumi Sueda (Rail Wars) and the script work will be done by Tatsuhiko Urahata (Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers, Black Bullet).

This series seemingly has no connection to the 2014 series Z/X: Ignition, but does seem to share the same basic ideas taken from the card game both series are based on, Z/X: Zillions of Enemy X.  An otherwise normal world is suddenly invaded by beings from five other timelines that all exist on the same world.   Each timeline is fighting to preserve their own existence, and as such must battle to wipe the other remaining timelines out.

Z/X: Code Reunion is set to begin in Fall 2019.
