SDCC 2019: Boom! Studios Releases Exclusive MMPR #40 Cover For Make-A-Wish

by James Ferguson

There are going to be all kinds of variant covers and exclusives at San Diego Comic-Con next week. Boom! Studios and Hasbro have a special one that goes towards a good cause. They’ll be releasing a special edition variant cover for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #40 in collaboration with Make-A-Wish. The cover from artist Goñi Montes, features the Beast Morphers Orange Ranger, a new character Hasbro created for a Make-A-Wish kid.

The Beast Morphers Orange Ranger is inspired by a 8-year-old Tyler from New Jersey. His greatest wish is to be an Orange Power Rangers so he can make the world a safer place for everyone. His wish came true at the Annual Make-A-Wish New Jersey Gala on June 13 and this cover celebrates it.

Twenty percent of the sale price from every copy of the special edition variant cover for MMPR #40 will go directly to Make-A-Wish to help grant more wishes to children with critical illnesses. This comic will only be available at San Diego Comic-Con at the Boom! Studios booth (#2229).
