Willow Is In Way Over Her Head In This Exclusive First Look At Buffy The Vampire Slayer #7

by Hannah Means Shannon

We’re delighted to kick off the week with an Exclusive First Look preview of the upcoming seventh issue of Buffy the Vampire Slayer from Boom! Studios.

Artist David López (Captain Marvel) joins Eisner Award-nominated writer Jordie Bellaire (Redlands), along with series creator and story consultant Joss Whedon (the writer/director behind Firefly, Marvel’s The Avengers, and more), to bring us this new issue in August.

Boom! Studios teases:

The Scoobies may have saved Xander’s soul but it means that Willow got mixed up in magic way over her head. And that has consequences, starting with a living nightmare where Willow realizes that the sacrifice she made could mean that she’s lost something important she’ll never be able to recover.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer #7 features cover art by Mondo illustrator Marc Aspinall, and also artists Kevin Wada (She-Hulk), Sonia Liao, and more.

For those who might be new to the franchise, Buffy the Vampire Slayer premiered on the WB Network on March 10th, 1997 and defined a generation. The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated series, which ran for seven seasons from 1997–2003, starred Sarah Michelle Gellar as “Buffy Summers.” Chosen to battle vampires, demons and other forces of darkness, Buffy was aided by her Watcher, Rupert Giles, and a circle of friends known as the “Scooby Gang.”
