SDCC 2019: Kevin Smith Unleashes NSFW Jay And Silent Bob Reboot Trailer

by Erik Amaya

Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) are on the road again to stop another Bluntman & Chronic movie from being made. But this time around, Jay’s daughter (Harley Quinn Smith) and her silent lifemate are seemingly along for the ride. If it feel like you’ve seen this before, that deja vu is clearly part of the joke in the first trailer for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot.

Oh, and look at all of those gags about Comic-Con! But at least Smith’s relationship with Ben Affleck has been repaired enough for him to appear as his Chasing Amy character, Holden McNeil. The two have not been on speaking terms for at least 12 years, but since Affleck appears in the trailer, we’re going to assume they finally had a heart-to-heart and patched some things up. And if that is the sort of thing we’ll get out of Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, maybe the movie will prove a worthy return to the Askewaverse.

Jay and Silent Bob Reboot opens on October 15th.
