Family Is An Order, Not A Word In Spy Thriller RV9

by James Ferguson

Mad Cave Studios is getting into the spy game with its upcoming thriller series, RV9. Written by Ben Goldsmith, illustrated by Travis Mercer, inked by Miguel Zapata, colored by Maria Santaolalla, and lettered by Justin Birch, the series centers on former assassin Velveteen, as she’s on the run from the Order of the 9. The organization took her from her family and forced her into a life of secrecy, violence, and death. The hunter is about to become the hunted as Velveteen is tired of running. She’s going to take the fight to them.

She’s helped in this mission from an American hacker named Jasper, and Inspector Pazzi, a rookie officer with an attitude. Velveteen will need all the help she can get as she puts all of her knowledge to work to take down the Order of the 9.

Writer Ben Goldsmith says:

I’ve always wanted to know how one of the deadliest assassins in the world would deal with love. RV9 is that story. It pits the future and technology against the past, selflessness versus self-preservation, and power vs the power of love. It has been an honor and privilege to work with Mad Cave on this book and I hope you all come along for the ride with Travis and myself.

RV9 is planned for five issues and will launch in November 2019.
