Rambo Plans To Finish It In New “Last Blood” Trailer

John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is still kicking around. And even though he finally came home at the end of 2008’s Rambo, the battle never really left him. That is his curse as both a Vietnam vet and an 80s action hero. It’s a point Stallone has been trying to get at, but it many finally be the key idea of a Rambo film if this trailer for Rambo: Last Blood is any indication. John Rambo’s life is once again upended when his niece is kidnapped and taken to Mexico. While saving her is his first priority, it also allows him one last chance to use his brutal skills to kill a bunch of bad dudes.

The optics here are quite fuzzy, but maybe Stallone will make a more salient point about the aged 80s heroes, much as he did in Rocky Balboa. Or, maybe, its just an excuse to kill some foreign people.

Rambo: Last Blood opens on September 20th.
