Marvel Comics is celebrating the launch of X-Men #1 with a trailer featuring Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski, Senior Editor Jordan D. White, and writer Jonathan Hickman. This series, spinning out of the massive House of X and Powers of X, represents a new dawn for mutantkind. It’s one of several series coming out of the recently wrapped up mini-series.
Jonathan is one of the most skilled writers in the comic book industry for sure. He comes up with enormous ideas and he is incredibly good at executing them perfectly on the page.
The X-Men are ready to forge their own path from the island nation of Krakoa. All mutants are living under one flag and any of them can be called upon to be an X-Man. The new comic features a rotating cast of characters from both the heroic and villainous side. Mainstays, fan-favorites, and obscurities alike will have a chance to shine. I just hope we get to see more Multiple Man and Chamber.
Writer Jonathan Hickman says:
[Series artist Leinil Francis Yu] is a phenomenal talent. He has an incredible eye: staging is wonderful, his character designs are cool. I love working with him. He’s fantastic.
