Kojima Productions and PlayStation have revealed the launch trailer for the upcoming title, Death Stranding. Though launch trailers are generally more of a short glimpse of the game, as has been pretty common with this game in particular, this trailer runs roughly seven minutes and fifty seconds.
Within the trailer, we get a glimpse of the villain of the game played by Mads Mikkelsen, seemingly before he has a chance to go evil. Then we get to see Norman Reedus’ Sam Bridges character, who’s been assigned to travel across America for the purposes of bringing online special terminals which will allow the country to connect and communicate once again after the country’s destruction.
The game shows off several new environments available, while also introducing more of the cast in the game. Featuring a star-studded cast of well-known voice actors and voice actresses alike, this trailer will hopefully dispel the idea that this game has no story, as well as wondering “what do you do” in the game. The trailer closes on a hint at a potential boss monster in the game that hadn’t been shown before–a “BT” with a very peculiar look. Whether this is a great success or a massive flop, Kojima Productions has finally made it’s return to gaming.
Death Stranding launches on PlayStation 4 this November 8th, then on PC in Summer 2020.
