After a hugely successful 2000AD Regened, the very special all-ages version of the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, 2000AD have just announced that 2020 will see FOUR Regened Progs!
Each Regened Prog will feature new all-ages tales, some featuring all-ages versions of 2000AD favourites, some all-new tales.
The reason for the four Regened Progs in 2020? Well, Prog 2130 (the 2019 Regened Prog) was 2000AD’s best-selling issue of 2019. That proves just how much demand there is for these sort of all-ages tales, both for existing readers and those all-new younger readers.
And in 2020, the Regened foursome has a fabulous line-up of writers and artists, with the names announced so far including Ilias Kyriazis (Collapser), Cavan Scott (Doctor Who), Nick Roche (Transformers), Rob Davis (The Motherless Oven), and more!
You’ll be able to get hold of the first 2000AD Regened of 2019 as 2000AD Prog 2170, a 48-page special on sale from newsagents, comic book stores, and online on 26 February 2020.
After this, you’ll find subsequent Regened Progs as 2000AD Prog 2183 on 27 May, 2000AD Prog 2196 on 26 August, and 2000AD Prog 2206 on 4 November.
2000AD’s 2019 Regened takeover issue was the best-selling issue of the year, so I’m excited to be bringing the all-ages concept to four issues across 2020. We’ve got some great stories and artwork lined up – many by creators making their debut for the title – so I hope these will go down equally as well with readers young and old.
