Festive Features And Hardcore Mode In The Latest Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Update

by Gary Catig

The online action role-playing video game Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is receiving an update next week with some new content. Like many other titles this December, there will be a holiday event entitled “Situation: Snowball.”

Certain enemies will wear bright red Santa hats as if to taunt players. If you’re fortunate enough to take one of them down, they drop an exclusive weapon that shoots snowballs. In addition, players that log in from December 10 to January 7 will receive their own Santa hat to equip.

Speaking of new clothes to collect, there will also be a Silent Night apparel event which has a darker winter theme. There will be 35 new apparel items to collect and if you log in during the event, you will receive one free key. Year One Pass holders can earn an additional three keys as a bonus until the event ends. There is also the option to purchase the caches with premium credits and gift them to your buddies.

Also included in the new update is the beta version for the new Hardcore Mode. In this mode, death is permanent, adding a whole new dimension and difficulty to the campaign mode. Players must be more tactical and careful since there won’t be a second chance to continue. Team up with friends in co-op mode for better odds of a successful mission.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is published by Ubisoft and the new update will be available on December 10.
