Iris Watches From Behind The Mirrors In A Preview Of The Next Flash

by Erik Amaya

Iris (Candace Patton) might be stuck behind the mirrors, but she can watch as her doppelganger designs a future of her own out in the conventional world. But from this preview of next week’s The Flash, it seems she will find some help in the mirror realm. Meanwhile, Barry (Grant Gustin) has a new mystery to solve and Nash (Tom Cavanagh) continues to face … something. Could it be that ghost of the Earth-1 Harrison Wells? And if you note the title of the episode, it appears the time has finally come to meet Sue Dearbon (Natalie Dreyfuss).

When we talked to executive producer Eric Wallace a few weeks back, he mentioned an answer about Nash’s status as the Earth-Prime Wells would be forthcoming and that glimpse of (presumably) the Earth-1 Wells means all will be clear sooner rather than later. Hopefully, that ghostly image actually is Wells and not the Reverse-Flash, but that’s part of the fun of Cavanagh’s various characters — Eobard Thawne can appear at any moment.

Meanwhile, we have to admit we really like the fake Iris in this week’s episode. She feels very much the plucky reporter we want Iris to be … but from the good cooking and the way she actually communicates with Barry, it’s clear she can’t stay around too long. Hopefully, Iris will take some cues from her mirror image and keep up the tougher streak.

The Flash airs Tuesdays on The CW.
