Micheal Biehn Emerges As A Member Of ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2 Cast
by Erik Amaya
The Mandalorian continues to offer some bright spots in an otherwise sad media landscape.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (after following up on a scoop from Making Star Wars), Michael Biehn has joined he cast of the Disney+ Star Wars series. He will reportedly play a bounty hunter with some connection to Din Djarin’s (Pedro Pascal) past. Isn’t that always the case for Star Wars characters? Dark figures from the past are as prevalent as people speaking Huttese. Biehn is a 1980s staple thanks to films like The Terminator, Aliens, and The Abyss. He’s also a popular figure on the convention circuit.
Making Star Wars also claims Bill Burr will be returning to the show as Mayfeld, the ex-Imperial sharpshooter who now has a bone to pick with Djarin. The news follows the exciting revelation last week that Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) will make her live action debut in the second season.
Presumably, as production on the second season began before the first streamed on Disney+, all three actors have already played their parts and the show will not be postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Of course, it is possible post-production could be delayed, leading to the series launching later than its expected October 2020 release window. At the moment, though, we remain hopeful the adventures of Din Djarin and The Child will continue later this year.
