‘Star Trek: Picard,’ Other CBS All Access Programming Goes Free-To-View Through April 23

It’s a move worthy of Jean-Luc Picard himself.

With its season finale set to stream this Thursday, Star Trek: Picard has made the previous nine episodes available to any and all with the promo code GIFT, according to EW. The offer also covers all of CBS All Access’s programing through April 23rd.

Besides Picard, Star Trek: Discovery, and Short Treks, the service offers original programs like The Good Fight and Tell Me a Story.  It also offers archival material like Mission: Impossible and the older Star Trek programs. But, most important to us, it offers everyone a chance to watch Picard.

Though its plotting is sometimes sluggish and some of its choices are indeed questionable, Picard is a well-produced series with interesting world building as retired Starfleet Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) sets out into space to help a mysterious young woman and unravel one of the great mysteries of the late 24th Century. The series also features Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Isa Briones, and Santiago Cabrera — to say nothing of welcome return appearances by Star Trek alums like Jeri Ryan, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Del Arco.

And, y’know, you could always give Discovery a try.

The CBS All Access offer is good until April 23rd.
