After E3 was cancelled, Ubisoft was one of several publishers who quickly explained they would be planing a digital conference in place of the annual event. That conference has been announced as Ubisoft Forward; at which they promise to have exclusive game news, new reveals, and more.
Ubisoft recently unveiled Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, so obviously expect that to be a key part of the presentation. But that isn’t all. During their financial call earlier in the year, they confirmed plans to release five AAA titles by the end of their fiscal year. Those games were supposed to be Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods and Monsters, Rainbow Six: Quarantine, what we now know to be Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and a rumored Far Cry 6.
Of course, those aren’t the only games the company is working on. They’ve got Massive (developers of The Division) working on an Avatar game, based on the popular James Cameron film. The publisher is also developing Roller Champions and a new Just Dance. And somewhere in the background there’s the long-in-the-works Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Skull & Bones. The last time we saw anything from Beyond Good and Evil 2 was sometime in December, as the developers answered questions during their bi-annual Space Monkey Program interviews, but Ubisoft’s Skull & Bones, based on the sailing mechanics pioneered in the Assassin’s Creed games, has been missing for years now.
Ubisoft Forward begins July 12th at 3PM Eastern.
