Scout Comics Picks Up ‘Soulstream’ From 15-Year-Old Saida Woolf

by James Ferguson

Everyone has a different path into comics. For 15-year-old Saida Woolf, it came with a submission to Scout Comics. The publisher picked up her book, Soulstream for release under its Scoot imprint. Just like that, she’s in the business. I’m sure there will be some folks that will be resentful of this, but Saida manages her comic work in addition to her full time work as a student and coming in first at her 7th grade science fair, beating over 700 other entrants.

Soulstream follows Marie and Markus as they discover an alternate dimension called the Mirror World where their entire city has been destroyed and replaced by a volcanic wasteland. After being contacted by the Mage Goddess, Marie receives a magical Ocean Bracelet that transforms her, allowing her to control water as the superhero Soulstream to save it.

Soulstream is set for release in late 2020.
