‘Ice Cream Man Presents: Quarantine Comix’ #1 From Image Comics Announced In Support Of Struggling Comic Stores
by Olly MacNamee
At the very start of this global pandemic, the creative team behind Image Comics’ critical-hit, Ice Cream Man creators W. Maxwell Prince and Martín Morazzo launched an online-only series of mini-comics set in the ICM universe. Now, they’re being collected and released this September as Ice Cream Man Presents: Quarantine Comix #1.
Originally released online in support of the Comicbook United Fund/BINC Foundation, 50% of all digital proceeds were donated to Comicbook United Fund/BINC Foundation. The comic will also donate 50% of all profits to these charitable organisations too.
Once again, Prince and company are only too happy to help out:
We at Team ICM are so jazzed to bring these kooky shorts to print—it’s another chance for us to help the brick-and-mortar shops that have nurtured and fed us from youth through adulthood. That we also get to broaden the Ice Cream Man mythos in the process is just the cherry on top.
Ice Cream Man Presents: Quarantine Comix #1 will be available Wednesday, September 9 from image Comics
