Layman And Boultwood’s ‘Chu’ Gets A Very Animated Trailer Ahead of New Comic Book Series

We brought you an advance review of Our Darkness/Chew #3 earlier today and while one series ends, another one is soon to begin with Chu #1 from John Layman and Dan Boultwood. While we haven’t seen a preview of this debut issue yet, I must say that this trailer would strongly suggest that a cartoon series set in the Chew-niverse and adopting the more TV friendly art style of Boultwood would not be such a bad idea.

Here’s a reminder of what this new series will be all about as well as the trailer and see if you don’t agree with me. Hmmm, I wonder if anyone from Netflix ever reads this site?

“THE FIRST COURSE,” Part One TONY CHU is a cibopath, able to get psychic impressions from what he eats. SAFFRON CHU is a cibopars, able to learn secrets from who she eats with. Tony is a cop. Saffron is a criminal. They are brother and sister, and they are on a collision course. Spinning out of the multiple Eisner Award-winning and New York Times bestselling series CHEW comes CHU, a felonious new food noir about cops, crooks, cooks, and clairvoyants.
