Natasha Romanoff Is Black Widow No More In New Comic Debuting In September

by James Ferguson

Despite starring in a new comic called Black Widow, Marvel is saying that Natasha Romanoff is no longer using that signature moniker. It seems her deadliest enemies have found a way to take her out so she’ll have to hang up the black tights as a mystery unfolds that even she can’t solve. Black Widow is written by Kelly Thompson, illustrated by Elena Casagrande, and colored by Jordie Bellaire. Check out the trailer below:

Thompson told

It’s a bold new vision for Black Widow and one I am really hoping people can get excited about. Our first arc has some of the stuff you would expect in a Black Widow book, but I think twisted in a new way that’s interesting – and where she ends up at the end of this highly personal and life changing story is ALSO interesting!

Black Widow #1 features a main cover by Adam Hughes. It’s set for release on September 2nd, 2020.
