Hasbro PulseCon 2020 — Star Wars Holiday Troopers, The Razor Crest And More

by Gary Catig

This past weekend was big for toy collectors since so much news came out of Hasbro PulseCon 2020. There were tons of reveals across Hasbro’s different brands so it wouldn’t be hard to find something that fit any fandom. Star Wars is one of the bigger draws and fans weren’t disappointed by the announcements.

With regards to the smaller, 3.75” scale Vintage Collection, there are new figures running from all corners and time periods of the Star Wars Universe. Some figures receiving reissues with Photo Real Deco and slight upgrades include Anakin Skywalker (Peasant Disguise), Battle Droid, Queen Amidala and TIE Pilot.

Newly announced figures joining the line include a Captain Rex reissue and Incinerator Trooper.

For the larger 6” scale Black Series, Jar Jar Binks and Boba Fett will receive deluxe figures. Jar Jar is the Phantom Menace version and will be released in March 2021. Boba Fett is the Return of the Jedi version and arrives June 2021. Both will retail for $29.99.

Another deluxe figure, which is a Hasbro Pulse exclusive, is The Armorer who costs $29.99 and will be released next month. If you missed out on the deluxe exclusive — which sold out quickly — a main line version is also coming but will not contain as many accessories.

Hitting retailers this December are the Phase 1 Clone Trooper (with an all new sculpt) and Incinerator Trooper.

Arriving in February 2021 is Rey (Dark Side Vision). She, along with the previous two troopers, are priced at $19.99.

To gear up for the holidays, seasonal variants of different troopers are on their way with each being a specific retailer exclusive. They are Holiday Storm Trooper (Amazon), Holiday Snow Trooper (Walmart), Holiday Range Trooper (Target), Holiday Clone Trooper (GameStop) and Holiday Sith Trooper (Best Buy).

Several reissue figures have been added to the Archive Collection including Commander Cody, Luke Skywalker (Hoth) with Photo Real, Han Solo (Hoth) with Photo Real, and Grand Admiral Thrawn.

Finally, the next HasLab project is the Razor Crest from Star Wars: The Mandalorian. It is a large vehicle measuring 30” in length and a wingspan of 20”. It’s set at the 3.75” scale of The Vintage Collection and comes with The Mandalorian Figure in Beskar armor and a one-of-a-kind soft goods cape. As of this writing, it’s already reached the needed number of backers, so you can pick yourself up one for the price of $349.99. The campaign runs until 11:59 pm EST on November 9, 2020.
