Check Out The Trailer For The New ‘Tokyo Babylon’ Anime

by Sage Ashford

Recently, it was announced that CLAMP’s Tokyo Babylon manga would be getting a television anime coming 2021. Tokyo Babylon is one of CLAMP’s oldest projects, releasing as a manga in 1990 and running until 1993.  It received an anime adaptation in the 1990s as an OVA, before CLAMP would go on to make other series like Code Geass, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle.

Tokyo Babylon takes place in 1991, during the end of Japan’s bubble economy. It follows a pair of onmyouji who are battling against evil spirits: Seishiro, a veterinarian, and Subaru, a young man that’s heir to a powerful clan of onmyouji.

Tokyo Babylon will be produced by the studio GoHands, responsible for anime like K, Coppelion, and Seitokai Yakuindomo.
