Watch The Post-Pandemic Action Short Film ‘The Cure’ Now

by Tito W. James

In the near future, a mysterious virus has taken over a large portion of the world’s population. When his daughter is infected, a special forces mercenary is tasked with obtaining a cure.

The Cure is triumph of indie filmmaking. Shot on a $15,000 budget with a three-person crew, the visual effects were created in Adobe After Effects and the aid of online tutorials. It also jams a feature’s worth of action into a half hour. After witnessing The Cure, I was reminded of how the Biting Elbows music video spawned Hardcore Henry. Hopefully the creators of The Cure will get to their hands on a feature budget after this.
