E3 Is Virtual And Free To The Public This Year

by Gary Catig

Like many other events, E3 had to cancel last year because of the pandemic. Well, gamers can rejoice as it is set to return this summer. However, it might be a little different than how you remember it.

It’s “Game On” for E3 as it will be held from June 12th-15th. This time, it is a completely virtual event that is free to the public allowing many more people across the globe to experience all its goodness. So far, many big names in the industry have committed to the expo including Nintendo, Xbox, Capcom, Konami, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Games and Koch Media with many more announcements on the way. Under this year’s format developers can showcase their newest titles directly to the fans.

The pivot to an online event will hopefully be a one time change since the Entertainment Software Association, the organization that organizes E3, plan to hold it next year in person.
