MYSTERIO WINS THE ROYAL RUMBLE!!!

How cool is that!?

Though now i've been reading that Rey may not make it to the WM Main Event! That, as Carlito would say, is not cool.

Now, i love Rey as a competitor and being a latino mayself it would be cool for him to follow in Eddie's steps as world champ, but i think having him get a run at the US (or Intercontinental) title would've served him better, to prove that he can run with the big boys, though it has been proven before on numerous times Rey can work a match with the big boys i think McMahon is riding the Guerrero homage thing, that's fine and dandy, but if the rumors are true of having Rey not go into 'Mania then what was the purpose of him win it then? for what, just to throw Rey a bone and have him chew on it for a while?

Rey Mysterio wins the Rumble....

I couldn't believe it, in a bad way. Rey is great wrestler and all, but I don't believe for a second he is Wrestlemania main event good. I hope he doesn't make it to the WM.

Also, Edge loses the title back to crappy Cena? John Cena is the most overrated superstar I have ever seen. He has a total of 4 offensive moves, and pulls them off in the same order in ever match. And, in ever match, he gets the hell beat out of him for 10-15 minutes, then pulls off his 4 moves and wins. EVERYTIME!!! BOOOORRIINNNG!!!! BOOORRRIINGGGG!!!!

All the other matches sucked too. The Royal Rumble 2006 was hands down the most dissapointing PPV I can remember seeing in a long time, if ever.

It surprised the hell out of me that they gave the belt to Edge. Then I found myself really liking him as champ.

I wouldn't have said it a month ago, but it WAS a bad move to have given Cena the belt again so soon. I'd have loved to have seen Edge with a decent run. Good thing is that he was given the ball, he ran with it (for a month) and hopefully will be given that chance again (soon).

Oh yeah,
and it's Mysterio's time.

He'll get the belt at WM (just not sure which one yet...)

My understanding was that the ratings were up with Edge having he belt-- and, although I like Cena very much, the match that Edge has had with Flair (especially the TLC) have been most excellent.

Edge vs. HHH would have been interesting for Mania.

I've heard rumours that Rey will not have the main event of Mania, and from what they are saying about Smackdown I suppose that's where whatever will happen.

It will at least be nice to see if Angle will defend at Mania.

But I don't look forward to a Shane O'Mac vs. HBK match (I like Shane a lot, but it's been a long time since his match with Angle, and he looks out of shape and I don't want to see him hurt and I don't want to see a McMahon headline Mania).

It is kinda strange to see a real-life tragedy,Guerraro's premature death, turned into a 'work'. This is the business that the wrestlers devote their lives to however,so everyone, even the heavy,Orton,is showing respect for Eddie by playing their parts. I guess the crowd reaction and resonance the storyline has,is enough justification for the WWE... a little unsettling though.
