I'm still watching WWE, but it's hard to enjoy it with the stench of death, and just the current active roster being so mediocre. I don't hate Cena, but his act is getting tired. He's a good promo, but he's being written poorly. Orton just doesn't have what it takes to be a big star...the "career ender" angle has been effective, but he's still a bore and a half when he talks (see last night's promo before the biggest match of his career). Kennedy and Carlito are okay, but they're both average and boring in the ring. Their match last night was booked to be important, but it was still dull. Smackdown is in rough shape, but it should get better when Taker and Edge come back. I guess Raw will improve too with HHH and HBK, but that says something about your current talent when you need 40 somethings to come back to spice things up.
TNA has great talent, but the booking has major problems. If they get Brock Lesnar, I could get into it again (although I do still watch every week).

I'm hoping that when Taker comes back he gets the belt for a nice long time and they let the others fight amongst themselves. I hope that Orton gets dropped kicked out of the business sooner rather than later, he's worse behind the scenes than he is on camera.
I'm expecting that HHH will be champion after a bit though with he and HBK fueding again. I wonder if at Wrestlemania it'll be a fatal fourway with Taker, Khali, Mark Henry, and Batista...could happen I guess, just wonder if Taker will wrestle or stay with the company long enough for his kid(s) to join him like with Flair over in WCW awhile back.
On a side note with the show Anchorwoman on Fox Lauren Jones is tagged as a former WWE Diva, but for the life of me I don't remember her. I'll go now....................

I forgot- I saw Misawa v KENTA last weekend in New York City. GHC championship match.
1) I couldn't see the end of the match because of a jerkface standing on his chair in the third row. 2) My seats were by the entrance way, I thought about putting my hand out for a high five, but then realized if I did I'd be touching a wrestler.

I only watch TNA for the X-Division just like I only watched WCW for the Cruiserweights. DIE VINCE DIE!

Hey guys-
Last week I was at the filming of Darren Aronofsky's next film- The Wrestler starring Mickey Rourke, Marissa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood and Ernest Miller that took place during a Ring of Honor show in Dover New Jersey. It was an interesting time.
I talked about it on the IMDB boards and on theburninghammer.com 's ROH forum. But thought I'd mention it here on the wrestling thread. Aronofsky wrote a graphic novel for DC Vertigo. Mickey Rourke played Marv in Sin City.
Last night (Saturday) I saw Jay Lethal, Roxxi Leveaux, Brutus the Barber Beefcake and Hearthrob Antonio at a local show.

I'm really looking forward to that movie. Sounds like it has a chance to be really good. Great cast...and with Mickey Rourke, and filming at an ROH show, it sounds like they're going for a '70's/early '80's vibe. Not all of the big arena pyro and steroids of today's business.
I just hope that Aronofsky's really taken the time to learn the business (assuming he wasn't a fan beforehand). If the movie's done from a "smart" perspective, it could be so much more interesting, and educational to the "It's fake, ya know?" crowd.
