The inherent failure of one medium to do what another medium does is however objective.
Regarding some things (e.g., motion), yes, most definitely. Not regarding particular genres, though. Saying martial arts comics fail because they can't depict fluid motion, while saying the medium does superheroic action better than film might be a matter of subjective taste, but it's not particularly coherent, speaking objectively. I suppose one could argue that superhero action is better when "static," whereas martial arts depends on fluidity to be appreciated, but I kind of doubt it and no one's really made that argument.
