So, were you calling everyone here assholes or a-holes? I forget. What's the difference? Is giving someone the finger not as bad as saying 'fuck you'? What about 'uckfey ouyey'?

I guess the humor must be lost on X when Conan does that skit where he bleeps out parts of words on PBS children's shows and the like, since his mind doesn't fill in the missing portions.

Yeah. It's, like, a totally clever play on words.

I think it's supposed to be stacked, though:

Buck
Fush

Hmmmm ... it appears wrong to me.

Anyway, if you curse but aren't really cursing, then you're not actually cursing, right? Or something like that.

(To me, typing "asshole" and "assh*le" is the same thing. Replacement words like "freakin'" are one thing. Simple masking is another. If that's all you're going to do, why bother?)

I've got to go back to that last town. It looks like I traded away a perfectly good + 3 falchion for a Cloak of Attracting Lying, Delusional Pretentious Asshats.

First, the cleaned-up version of "asshole" isn't "assh*le," it's "a--hole." You have to censor the heart of the cuss word. Otherwise, it's like you're saying, "Go fu-k yourself," which leaves too much intact. Unless you're Vice President Dick Cheney, in which case you can let 'er rip on the floor of the U.S. Senate.

Second, I never meant to be the official Comicon defender of the morse-code method of censorship. Somebody else originally used "a--hole." I just quoted it and Charles asked me about it. Usually, just to be polite, I try to avoid even dash-dash cussing, because you're right, "mother f----r" doesn't leave much room for doubt.

Third, everyone here who mocks me can go take ---- --- ----- and shove 'em -- ---- --- with a ------- of your -------- ---- until --- ---- ---- ----.

Have a great weekend!
