To all interested small press publishers. As a result of Saturday nites chat room talk, and discussion elsewhere on this board, we are meeting again on Tuesday night the 8th, from 9-11pmET., in the COMICON CHAT ROOM. This should give most people a good opportunity to stop by. The hope is to talk over our ideas on the proposed Comic Tour for Indy and Self Pubishers, and get the plans worked out and mission underway to launch a multi-city tour as a group, for next years convention season. All Small Press are welcome. Lets's name the tour and get the bus on the road!

Mike-- I'm afraid I don't have the capacity to enter the chat room with my PC at home; it's too slow and primitive. I support anything you guys come up with.

Unplugged tour sounds good. You need something catchy and easy to prononce. 'commacondotcalm' is a mouthful!

I like the "ComicCon.com Irregulars," or how about "All-Stars?"

"Comicon.com Irregulars" sounds unneccesarily self-deprecating and confusing to me. "All-Stars" sounds cool, but it's a little ego-centric.

Plus, neither one easily brings to mind "publishers from COMICON.com go to a real life con" like "COMICON.com Unplugged" or "COMICON.com Offline" or "The COMICON.com Reality Tour" does. The "gimmick" for this "tour" or "group" or whatever is that we're a bunch of publishers who do a lot online, we can all be found at COMICON.com, and now we're takin' it to the streets. I think we need a name that best describes that.

"Comicom.com Actual Reality Tour"

I like this name. It's a little long, but it works.

I'm glad there will be a discussion. I hope I am able to attend (I may have to work late).

How about COMI-COMI-COMI-COMI-COMICON.com? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

What about The COMICON OUTERnet Tour? Or COMIC-ON Tour (as in on-line)? Let's figure out the name later. Let's get to the nitty gritty.

Mike Manley volunteered to research the Chicago and San Diego shows. I'll try to find out about shows around here (Boston, New York,Pittsburg). Once we get a rough idea of prices and location it will be easier to decide which cons you can attend. I guess it may be a bit early to look into some international shows. I wonder how many people we've got going on this idea already? I figure around 8-10 so far.

Let's keep rollin'.
