Today it suddenly occurred to me. Paulie's fighting style is amazingly similar to the Black Knight's from Monty Python's The Holy Grail.

He just keeps taking damage, but he never lets on that he's been hacked to pieces and keeps (vainly) attacking.

Dude, if you could only see the irony of that statement. And I mean real irony, not that fakey Alanis Morrisette kind.

Real irony.

Damn.

It brings a tear to the eye.
Dude...so predictable a response. I'm sure you're proud that you were able to post it first.

JB's opinion about Marvel's APPARENT "intent on committing suicide" stems from their cancellation of a title that was turning profits. Sounds like someone is at least ATTEMPTING to cut their own throats (metaphorically speaking, of course).
Profitable products are canceled all the time. Owners will often decide to focus their efforts on something with lower costs or is potentially more profitable.

Simply "not losing money" is not justification to be in production forever.

Despite my stance to be a "voice" that is not hate-filled & full of exaggerated posting proclivities so that the few who visit here can see that not everyone here is a part of the "herd", I'm not catering to an audience. The fact you (and others) ARE is rather telling, though.
AS IF you're not catering to an audience.
That is, of course, why you keep an eye out ONLY for Byrne threads.

If Byrne weren't so obnoxious, he wouldn't be half as entertaining, would he? I derive great enjoyment from his antics. As someone wrote in TCJ long ago, "Byrne is like a wet fart in church".

IIRC, his criticism of Colan focussed on a specific panel's bad perspective. And his nickname theory seems defensible to me...I don't agree with it, but it's not an invalid theory.

BTW, IvanJim, is your real name Jean-Jacques?

Yes, it would translate that way, and if my parents were French and had the same sense of humor and parentage that they did, it might well have been my name.
