I loved the movie by the way. Brillant stuff.

I was wondering that myself. I sat through the credits and nothing happened afterwards.

Well, nothing happens in the wide-release version, because the post-credits scene was bumped up to the proper 'end' of part one. It's the scene where Bill reveals that The Bride's daughter is still alive. I can see why they suddenly decided to snatch it up from the post-credit area, though it is kind of a cool idea to hide such a big plot point where almost nobody would see it...

I saw that and it happened before the credits rolled. When bill was talking to the armless girl.

I really enjoyed 'Kill Bill'. My dad raised me on spaghetti westerns and kung fu, so I've got a definite appreciation for the art forms. I'm not too concerned about why Bill had Deadly Viper Assasination Squad kill the Bride's wedding party and attempt to kill the Bride. That'll come out in the next volume. Maybe. Normally I'm a stickler for these details, but 'Kill Bill' followed all of the rules that it created and I was satisfied.

I feel pretty secure that the second volume will be just as good as the first. I only hope that the anticipation doesn't become greater than the actual film, y'know. So anyway, while I'd rather it was released all together, I did feel kind of exhausted by the end of this volume. It was a pretty intense film. I think an intermission might have been more in order than having to wait until February for the second volume.

But from what I've seen so far, I think it's Tarantino's most realized work. So far. This is a guy that quite simply loves movies and it shows.

I don't think we can fairly comment n whether the structure used in this movie (Pulp Fiction style, scenes out of order) works yet becasue we have not yet seen the whole hting, or seen it how it was originally meant to be seen and thus don't know the ramifications of some of those earlier scenes. For example, I think the Bride's daughter is going to end up being the little girl from the first big fight scene with Vivisa A. Fox, and that fact will shed an entire new light (and give new meaning) on the Bride's actions and comments during that fight (whether she knew she was her daughter or not), much like the way knowing Travolta's character dies sheds light and gives new meaning to later scenes in which he is still alive

just a theory though

I don't think David Carradine and Uma Thurman could produce a mulatto child.

Maybe that little girl was Bill's little girl, too!

I agree. It could still be Bill's but to say it's Bill and the Bride's kid? Ha ha, no.

I was told by people who had seen advance screenings that there was a brief scene with Michael Madsen's character after the credits originally.

Hmmmm. There's a really brief shot of Madsen near the end of the film where he reflects on how The Bride deserves to kill them all... in fact, it's his only line in the movie, I think. But that fits in too well with the flow of scenes near the end to have originally appeared elsewhere...
