There you go, Dave. Mi amigo el Batfan explains as I too have a primitive connection when it relates to hooking up machines to telephone wires.

God that orientation tape is horrible. It looks so incredibly fake. Those first three episodes almost had me quitting the series.

I saw it at a friend's high-speed house, and the one thing I will give it is it is cool to see a T.V. series that has an almost comics fandom behind it- with websites, magazines, etc.

The 1970's,80's? tech found in the bunker couldn't account for the either 'super-tech' or supernatural 'cloud of hate' that zips around every now and then though. Of course, the things that happened that seemed beyond coincidence like the numbers, ect. may not be coincidences at all. I'd almost say the director didn't intend for viewers to see the still or slowed shots of the cloud at all,but Locke and some of the others remarked about it when it creeped around them in the jungle, right,so that's part of canon? I think the second season is up to speed now and I'm enjoying both flashbacks and present time scenes equally, still one of the best shows on. B., One possibility is that while the Initiative was messing around with their behavioral experiments, they unleashed something not explicable in the universe of behavioral science.

Yeah, after writing that I realized any comic book fan worth their salt could come up with multiple possible explanations just, perhaps,no single all encompassing one. Another possibility: the 'cloud' was released when the geothermal heat/power source was tapped, wiped out any scientists on the island, but not the 'lab rat' in the bunker.
